Pathology e learning for FRCPath(facebook page by the same name) was started in May 2020 as an endeavor to provide guidance to overseas FRCPath (histopathology) aspirants. The online mentorship program was conceptualized by Dr.Akshay Bali MD DipRCPath and subsequently developed jointly by him and Dr.Maitrayee Roy MD FRCPath.
We mentor post graduate residents as well as practising pathologists preparing for FRCPath(in histopathology) part 1 (theory) and part 2 (practical) examination. The response has been unexpectedly phenomenal and in the last 3 years we have mentored over 500+ FRCPath part 1 aspirants and nearly 250+ FRCPath part 2 aspirants. We feel extremely satisfied in knowing that we have contributed in some way to the success of all those candidates who took the exam and passed. The rigorous preparation for the FRCPath examination also helped some candidates in clearing the entrance examination for DM histopathology in PGI Chandigarh and DM oncopathology.
Dr. Akshay Bali MD DipRCPath is a Diplomate of Royal College of Pathologists since 2019. He did his MBBS from Vinayaka Mission’s Medical college, Puducherry. He was awarded gold medal in Pathology by the Pondicherry University. He completed his MD in pathology from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum in 2013. He was associated with Dr.Lal Path Labs till 2016 when he ventured in to private practice.
Dr.Maitrayee Roy MD FRCPath is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists since 2019. She did her MBBS from Manipal College of Medical Sciences and graduated in 2009 as the best outgoing student. She completed her MD in pathology from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum in 2013 and was awarded gold medal for first rank by the KLE University. Her senior residency was from AIIMS, New Delhi where she was conferred Dr. N.C Nayak best senior resident award (2015-2016) at the end of her tenure in 2016.
Dr.Maitrayee Roy and Dr.Akshay Bali jointly manages their laboratory, Maitri Diagnostic Lab in Ambala City, Haryana since 2016.
